Denzel, the main character in this book is going through some mental dilemma in which he cannot figure out what to do with himself and his schooling. The situation is difficult for him and is obvious due to his way of being throughout the chapter including his mental thoughts that show his attitude in the story. The character himself seems to be a typical average guy with an edge but as he shows more of himself so do the dilemmas in the story come out, the way he thinks affects him in a certain way. In ways it can be compared to real life scenarios in which college students have problems handling school and so on.
